I noticed that only the .org domain is working but all web searches point to .com and that is listed as for sale? Weird, eh?

As I recall Tom holds all three common suffixes and they are paid up till sometime later this year. Somehow that reseller outfit, AfterMarket, placed what appeared to be a redirect that drove all traffic to their site. Several of us checked their database and SA was not listed in it.

Messages were left for Tom around 1630 CST describing the problem; by 2230 CST whatever was done by AfterMarket was undone and we were back up and running.

I don't know what or how they managed the redirect, Tom didn't elaborate, just got it fixed.

I have the .com address saved in my favorites. The other day when I came to the site I got the for for sale message. After a few hours I was able to get to site and am still pulling it up with the .com address.

I hope that we get some warning before anything serious happens. I'd hate to loose touch with all the great friends I made here. I'd hate to loose this site.

I wholeheartedly agree with Nimby....
A couple years ago we passed the hat to help offset the maintenance costs Tom has in maintaining the site...Is it time to do so again?

I was pretty shocked when I got redirected to that domain site. I too would be very upset for this site to go away.

I think Facebook draws away alot of potential customers. Maybe we should set up a page there and try to entice people that way.

Exactly...so, at the top right hand corner of your facebook page is the EDIT SETTINGS. There is a choice where it states it won't post on your HOME page. So far, nothing has shown up on my home facebook page.

Acutally, i changed it to private a few hours ago. I wonder if the posts will still who to others who are not in the group.

I tried, but it won't let me - you'll probably need to do it yourself, as the group creator.........

Oh you guys want the group to be secret? The main reason I wanted the group was to lure newcomers to the butch board.

Nice trip down memory lane seeing all the guys who don't come here anymore.....but they won't help liven up this place. :?

Uh oh the bill for 2011 is coming due and Tom thinks it's time to gas this place.

Oh well. It was fun while it lasted. Darn Facebook is like the Walmart of the internet.....handy and everything....but it puts everyone else out of business. :(

That's only half the reason. The other reason is not enough people come here anymore.

eg. Only two topics today and this is one of them! :?
