Spam PMs

Postby furface » Fri Jan 02, 2009 9:24 pm

It's been brought to my attention some of y'all have been getting spam in your PM inbox.

In looking into that I've found the only one, other than the user, who can access the PMs is someone with full access to the SQL databases and owner/administrator permissions; and even that ain't easy to access the messages.

If anyone has been gettin' these sort of PMs, leave a post here with the username who sent it to ya. You delete the message and I'll kill the user's account.

That's the best I can do, guys.

Too bad they don't charge you twenty cents for every one you get, like I get charged for all those drunk texts that you send out to every guy you've ever met...... :P

I don't NEED unlimited text. But maybe I SHOULD save a draft text that goes something like this:

"If you wanted to know how the trip to (insert city name here) went, maybe you should have shown your fuzzy arse up  "

Some people's kidz.......

PS: Flower Mound said to tell you HEY :P

It could be that you were the recipient of a spam e-mail, the proggy sent the notice, but before you looked I had killed that account for spamming; message disappears from the system.

I know that it is bad and wrong, and i KNOW that they are annoying, but I am finding some of the Spam posts quite funny actually, lol . . . and it is a good game to try and guess which posts are from spambots and which are from real people, especially as the 'bots are getting better, and posting topics like "Need Some Advice" . . . very clever! But, uh oh, click on one of those and you'll lose 10 points . . . but skip past a post made by GamesnPuzzles and you get five points, etc etc .. . well, it is keeping me busy at least, lol .. .
