What do people see in Matthew McConaughey?

Postby Cachasa » Wed Jan 14, 2009 4:31 pm

I don't understand why people think he's hot. I find him to be one of the ugliest men I've ever seen. His hair, his face... they're so gross. And even his body... I don't like the way he's built, I find it to be this stumpy buff dude...look...that's kind of hideous. Maybe I'm crazy?

What do you guys think?

I think he is attractive but as I have learned over the years we all have different tastes, likes, dislikes, attractions and so if you don't agree then that's cool. Life would be way too boring if we all thought alike on everything.

It's his voice and demeanor, COMBINED with his looks(cheekbones. decent chin, great teeth) He exudes masculine confidence and his niche is "the cool dude ladies' man that straight guys want to be", it's all in the enthusiasm, his countless interviews that ALWAYS sound like he has a passion for everything in life, AND THE ATTITUDE. He is an example of a male being exalted, because of his absolute irrefutable straightness,(but then so was Rock Hudson, Raymond Burr and a lot of other macho role model leading men until we found out the well hidden truth).

Daniel Craig, the new James Bond, is actually "textbook ugly" with a misshapen body. His best feature is his blue eyes. But his talent is, PLAYING THE ROLE OF SOMEONE FAR MORE HANDSOME AND APPEALING,he knows how to work what he's got to his best advantage. Again it's all in the attitude.

Stardom isn't just about being beautiful, that's more for models, but in most cases, it's not WHAT you've got, but WHAT YOU CAN DO WITH IT that catapults you to the top.

The real question is what do people see in George Clooney?

That aside I think McConaughey is ok not hot. He has a great body, but he doesn't give me that rush.

It's the same thing, I was going to mention George Clooney as another guy with the same masculine confidence fitting the macho hollywood formula of a guy every guy wants to be and every girl wants to be with.

Hellifino

I wonder about Brad Pitt sometimes, too. He has a weak chin. Or gives off a weak vibe. Whatever.

George Clooney....nothing special either.

Gimme somebody with personality! Please!

I think Matthew is not very attractive. Clooney is totally hot, and I think he's gay. Brad Pitt is hot and I think he's bi. I think Matt Damon is bi or gay as well. Just my opinion.

^ Uhm most of us know what the people being discussed look like so there is no need for us to waste bandwidth posting them. If you are unaware of who they are you can always avail yourself of Google.

I'm never sure I get the point of these types of threads only because taste is a personal thing and what one person finds ugly, will cause another guy to spring wood.

And thank goodness because if everything was the exact same i'd stab myself in the eyes with forks.

I like all 4. Damon and Clooney would be my top choices...Damon is aging really well, and Clooney has that dignified "mans man" look to him. Thought when they were younger, neither did much for me.
We can sit for a while and talk about
The things that bring you down
Like heaven and martini's
And boys that hang around
If if told you my biggest secret
Would you promise me you'd stay?
It isn't what you're thinking
It's simple in a way

I think Clooney looks better with a beard.

The more facial hair Clooney gets the better he looks, I agree there...

I am a mod..

I dunno I don't see the big deal about posting pics really.. or even hot linking, stuff happens and if links die they die, we go back and clean it up if that's what we find..

I am on another board and it's to the point where we aren't allowed to do anything, we cant even post images there, and it is no fun.

I don't think anyone would have an objection if any nude pictures of these guys were posted, would they? I don't understand the objection, but I'll just say that and shut up.

They might look OK in pictures, but when you see them talking or being interviewed whatever, they often come across as seriously smug and conceited . .. and that is a massive turn-off for sure . . . it's like, get over yourself already. I'd take a caring, intelligent, interesting person any day over a someone who gets millions just to "act", jeesh . . .

I think Daniel Craig is far from ugly! His eyes are beautiful.

I'd rather make beautiful music with Daniel Craig than any textbook.

I watched one of the James Bonds with my dad. I got a little swoony at one point, which was probably an unexpected response. But damn!

I take the point about conceited actors - one night only, is that so much to ask?

For those who might not be familiar with Robert Urich, his TV career began as a detective in Vegas. He also was the title character in Spenser for Hire.

Urich's IMDB credits.

Yes, that's Capt. Sisko (Avery Brooks) with Urich. He played Spenser's friendly nemesis Hawk on the show.

Heh. I had to laugh when I opened US magazine the other day. There's a 2 page ad at the front for Dolche and Gabboozoo, featuring air brushed pretty boy Matthew McConaheyheyhey. :P

He's shirtless, and sprawled on a gold couch looking like king turd of sh*t island. They have to air brush him, he's that ugly.

This is truth! Personally, of the 4 (well 5, including Urich) mentioned, I personally find Brad Pitt the most attractive.
