I Hate Being Gay

There's a lot of discussions about "internalized homophobia" going on here. Talk about racism, prejudice, religion, and all that's on your mind. Now you have a new place to gab.

I Hate Being Gay

Found this video via YouTube but found the episode on the Tyra Banks Show website. Found it quite interesting.

Have any of you ever felt like you hated being gay? If so, what aspect of it?

I watched that. Not surprising, those guys are just coming to terms with themselves, though give up the "I'll be straight in 11 years" cause it ain't gonna happen. I "decided" at age 20 that I was and would forever be asexual. Many stares and wet dreams later, that idea officially became a failure just after I turned 23. Another bizarre episode that I think is on youtube is the "gay for pay" one. Sorry, but you can't f*** another guy or bottom for one, subsequently orgasm (in other words, thoroughly enjoy it) and say you're completely straight and it's only the money that's making you that horny. Bi maybe, but definitely not completely straight. Listen to what the guys say about it. You know they're enjoying it. I don't care how much money they're making for being "gay for pay". I know I physically couldn't do it with a woman no matter how much $ I'm offered or how drugged up I am or if I had 50 viagras beforehand. Anyway, that episode's also on the Tyra show, now on youtube. I laughed through most of it.

I hated being gay in high school. Early 1980's....not many were out of closet at that time. I didn't tell a soul. Pretended I was straight. Yuck.

College wasn't much better. Then AIDS came along....that was a really shitty time to be gay. People justified all their hate....look! Even God hates you! He invented a new disease to get rid of you sickos!

Things got better from about 1995 on for me.

I've never hated being gay. I always thought (and still do) feel that in many situations the life of a gay man is very difficult/different from most others, but I've never hated it. There's nothing inside me that would make me hate it. Of course I've felt down about it at times, but I'll never hate it.

I feel that way sometimes myself. I never lied about being gay and in my heart i knew i was gay all my life. But hating it sometimes, hell yea. I do not feel like i fit anywhere in the gay world. I feel like gay men are more judgmental than straight guys. I hate the marginilization of gay people. I think I would have been much happier if i was part of the majority, as far as straight that is. I would have had more friends. MOre friends interested in the things i like. I think on many levels i was made to be straight but ended up here.
Gay men and me don't hit it off too well. The relationship aspect is a joke. How many gay men take it seriously?
But hey, here I am.

In case nobody has noticed, our whole world is dysfunctional. No more is there right or wrong, ethics are now very subjective and civility is a thing of the past. There is no more togetherness as everyone is out for themselves. Everyone thinks they are superior to the next guy. There is no more honour or class. $$ and greed are gods.

No it's not just a gay thing. It's an everything thing.

Very sad but true. It makes you wonder how things are going to turn out in this world. I get so happy whenever I see a picture of my baby nephew, but I fear the world that he's going to grow up in. I'm still afraid for myself!
