Me, boxers. . . . Him, boxer briefs. So it's easy to keep our underwear sorted.

We're communist with the socks, tho.

I use to be all about the boxers with the healthy does of boxer-brief. Then I found myself always going for the boxer briefs. Then I found myself always pissed off when the boxer briefs got to loose, so I'm currently on a briefs kick.

Will keep updated.

After a few years in the lands of boxer briefs I seem to be heading back toward the land of briefs. I also seem to be collecting a rainbow of colors as opposed to only white briefs of my youth.

Boxer-briefs all the way. I only wear boxers when I'm lounging and sleeping. Strange habit, I know.

Would you mind defining "a special occasion" for us?

Some pals and I get together, throw back some Cran-Grape juice, pull up a few bean-bag chairs and rock out to some Chopin. Last time, my friend brought an Apocalyptica CD and we had to cut it short because the "air cello" got out of hand.

Huh. Came to the realization that my underwear preferences change over time... started life in tighty-whities, didn't really know anything else existed until I was about 13 (junior high, locker room); switched to boxers at 20; boxer-briefs, about 27 or so; and recently I've started back to briefs again. But lower-cut ones. And NOT in white.

Re: boxers or briefs?

Currently, most of the time in boxers (mostly tartans and linear patterns, though I do have a few pairs in white and baby blue). I also wear a lot of Jockey Midways, about 20 percent briefs (Usually white), and rarely boxer-briefs. I like the open, hanging, feel of boxers, but I don't like the bottom seam cutting across my balls when I sit, or the fact that there is zero erection hiding ability in boxers.

I'm particular about brands, especially for briefs: I really like the feel of 2xist and Jockey. I've tried most of the rest, but the pouch never stretches to fit me, so I've given up on the likes of CK and Hanes, esp for briefs.

I was raised on briefs (J. C. Penney's "Stafford" or "Penncrest", if you must know), and wore them exclusively til freshman year of college, when a girl friend introduced me to Life boxers. (Isn't it peculiar how many women buy men's underwear?) They were a closer-cut, more colorful, boxer, sold by Jockey in the 70s when most of the boxer world was super baggy.

I also wear white crew-neck t-shirts.

I recently switched to boxers. I had a varicocele when I was younger (had an operation when I was about 25 to remove it) but needed "support" for many years. Also was circumcised in my 40's so I was quite sensitive for a long, long, long time. My privates are much tougher these days and I'm enjoying the boxers. I've tried "commando" but wear and tear and sweating make it uncomfortable.

For those of you who don't know what a varicocele is, it's an enlarged blood vessel in the left testicle. It's a genetic thing that occurs in about 1 in 10,000 men. It's my alien genetics showing up. :? :? :?

Learn more.... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Varicocele

This article suggests it can be fixed by a quick procedure, but that is not true... I was in hospital for a week and it took about 8 weeks to heal completely. My boyfriend was upset because he liked it the way it was before. Go figure. I had always been very embarrassed about it.

In the summer if I'm wearing shorts which is most of the time, I don't wear any. When I am wearing jeans or pants I wear boxers or boxer briefs.
