In the Beginning there was nothing, and God said: 'Let there be Light." There was still nothing, but you could see it.

LOL! I saw the most adorable Scottish guy yesterday, with such a strong accent. Jeez, he made me melt. I might have to by the store where he works again today, just to make sure he was real. Sorry, continue...

You know me and folk music. I bought a CD yesterday at Goodwill just because it had this song on it. I can't stop playing it. The Flower of Scotland is one of the most beautiful of the national anthems in the world.

And as far as Scottish hunks, wouldn't you like to try this one (Gerard Butler) on for size?

And if he's not available, any old Scottish hunk will do. Maybe this one?

I love Scotland. Hope to visit there someday.

I've always found the Flower of Scotland on the pipes hauntingly beautiful

Thanks! That's the same one on my CD that I'm wearing out on the player today, and not the one I posted with the lyrics. I couldn't find the pipes-alone video. It's now marked as a favorite, especially with the scenery to go along with it.

Slainte! Here's tae ye!

Personally, I hate my accent. Though after hearing this, I need to start using it to my advantage!

Destination of the next SA meet anyone?! (That way I could actually go!)

Back on topic, I'm loving Mumford & Sons just now. Fantastic band. Especially the song "White Blank Page."

My Song by Glass Tiger for all you georgous Scotts out there. :D

People mistake me for Scottish all the time. It's the reddish brown hair and the "Mac" in my last name, certianly not the 1/4 pounder under the kilt. Does that count?

Had this on loop today at work and listening again now. I can't get enough of it.

A chair is still a chair, even when there's no one sittin' there
But a chair is not a house and a house is not a home
When there's no one there to hold you tight
And no one there you can kiss goodnight

Hmmm. Odd. The episode of "Glee" where the character Kurt performed this song ("A House is Not a Home") was part of the entertainment on the plane flying home tonight.

Right now I'm listening to "Angel Eyes" by k.d. lang

Well, after one of the most disasterous years of my life, I'm finally homeward bound. I may be off line for a while, so wish me well and I'll be back as soon as I can. :D  :D See ya boys!!

For a special little girl named Sabrina, my daughter's best friend, who is having her 13th birthday today and who burried her Mother two days ago. A week ago today she came home from school and found her mother hanging in the foyer. What a world.

I'm listening to my dishwasher. It's making a noise that sounds sort of like a cat puking up a hairball while under water.

I like the palm trees. It's been so long since I've seen or touched an actual palm tree.
