Dating with the Sounders

Postby olywaguy » Sat Jun 04, 2011 2:26 am

The Seattle Sounders is the city's major league soccer team. They are fairly popular in the area and I even had the opportunity to attend a game while viewing it from one of those rooms up high as part of a Hispanic community group.

Well, I saw a commercial tonight where the players do a little dating video and you are to go to the Date with a Sounder facebook page.

The little bios don't say anything about sexual preference, so technically, anybody could send an email to them asking them for a date. I wonder how would they respond to requests from guys?

It's too bad Seattle has neither a major league hockey or basketball team....what do they do all winter there?

Hibernate.

Seriously, though we have two major junior hockey teams in the area--the Seattle Thunderbirds and the Everett Silvertips. It's also no accident that most of our opera, symphony, and theatre seasons happen in the winter.

Beyond that, we read a lot, and watch a fair amount of TV.

Seattle did have an NBA basketball team, the Seattle Sonics, but alas, they moved away in 2008 to become the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Seattle does have the WNBA Seattle Storm basketball team around still.
