The word "moist". It just sounds disgusting but it really does make me laugh!

"It is what it is."

Such a saying of surrender and hopelessness. Not to mention you sound like a fool because you are taking a situation and reducing it down to..."This situation is because this situation is." No attempt to create a solution, just a surrender to the problem at hand.

That ranks up there with everyone on this side of the world going "Imshallah" "God's will"

"I live in a town with open sewage... Imshallah. I wont ask for infrastructure development"
"My children can't go to school because of insurgents... Imshallah. My daughter will just get married and preggers at 15"
"Foreigners are using my town to fight... Imshallah. I wont help those trying to bring peace and stability to the area"

My thought:
If you cant stand up for yourselves.. Imshallah.. you should kill yourselves. Save us time, money and pain.

From a boss, "We have to let you go." or "All locations are closing." both meaning you are out of a job.

How about a problem as an "opportunity". I work in IT and this one makes me foam at the mouth.

"Consultant"...I had a meeting today with a 25 year old guy who's business card identified him as a "Senior Consultant". I'm sorry, but 25 years old (about 2 years out of university) doesn't qualify as "senior" by any stretch...I was polite, but sent him packing...
