Hello, it's me.

Hello guys, westguy3 here... just joined. tried to upload an avatar but either way I try it doesn't work. The file is only 60 x 60 and 4k, b&w... oh well...

anywho... just a soon-to-be 50 guy who found this forum and want to meet others like me. musician and artist, i don't fit in the gay world (at least the one around here) and almost fit in the straight world except for one small fact. heh.

most of my friends are straight, mostly guys. everyone is very respectful of me and i get along with pretty much everyone. I used to hang in the gay world back in the 80s but always felt like I did not belong as I like doing things that most gay men shy away from; fishing, camp, mechanics, etc... I've even built my own cabin from logs on my land. But I also like stereotypical gay things too, i will admit, like gardening, cooking, keeping things neat and orderly. I just don't do them with a mu-mu on. LOL.

have a partner of 15 years who puts me to shame in the manly department, he's a mechanic and body builder, is building an airplane and is a slob. I love him anyway. We have a great life together.

so, hope I can contribute here and meet nice guys who are like me.

I checked your registration/profile to see if there was anything out of the ordinary - looks just fine from my end.

Only thing that comes to mind re: the problem of uploading an avatar might be file type. This proggy is happiest with either .gif or .jpg, other graphic file types can cause hiccups.

Give it another try with either of those files types. If still no joy, send the file to me at the e-mail in my profile and I'll see what I can do from my end.

And WELCOME ABOARD, stick around, and have a bit of fun with this slightly dysfunctional crew.

Westguy; My photo proggy read the file type as .tiff even though it was tagged as a .jpg. Don't know why, might be something tween Mac and PC not playin' nice. Anyway I changed the format to .jpg and it uploaded just fine.

Like the Jeebus sorta look; 40 years ago I looked kinda like that, sorta.

Welcome. I don't stop by as often as I used to, but I'm approaching 8 years on this site (and its previous incarnations), so I'd assume it's not going anywhere in the near future.

BTW, when I read the title of your thread, I was thinking of the Todd Rundgren song. Were you listening to that when you posted it?

Always nice to see another Midwesterner. Welcome!

Hi westguy......
I'm one of the ones that disappeared, and have been away for quite a while......had problems with the "new" beta site, and then couldn't get
the next site to work after the "beta one disappeared....but this site seems okay....so I guess I'm back as of tonight.
Good luck to you and your guy...
I'm now in a 20+ relationship...and very happy!
