The best cover bands in the world are all Filipino, but I suspect you already know that. :)

^ totally agree...I've heard some great artists; Stevie Wonder, Beach Boys, Rolling Stones, the Beatles, Tina Turner all done by Filipino bands...Close your eyes and you'd think you're listening to the original...

This is what we did this weekend...

Image

I got rid of the Buell. I was tired of dealing with HD and their shitty service. I was tired of work not being done properly. And I was tired of little things that were incorrectly engineered breaking. It was a fun bike to ride, but everything else dealing with it was not fun. Oh well...NEXT!!!

So I bought the Suzuki Boulevard C50. Wooo Hooo! I know...a bit "out of character" for me. People at work couldn't believe I'd buy a cruiser. It's only a 50 cubic inch engine, so it is a bit smaller than the XB12R. And it weighs a bit more...but that's fine. I don't need to be racing anywhere any time soon...hahaha. Oh, there were some that I definately liked to look at, but I didn't want to go too big on the bike. It has been a bit of an adjustment for me to get used to riding it, but I already just love riding it. Much easier on the knees and back than the Buell.

I ordered saddlebags so I should have those put on next week. I'll take another picture then.

Finally decided I could no longer deal with owning the automotive equivelant of a downs syndrome baby, and replaced her with this:

2005 Honda Civic Certified Pre-Owned. It's the value package, so there's no power windows, cruise control, or power mirrors. The only luxe option is a CD player. So far, I love it, even though because of it I'm going to be living off of Mac n' Cheese for the next 5 years.

After purchasing the vehicle, I went to the karaoke bar with some friends. I was up singing "Freedom" by George Michael in front of about 20 people, when a party bus pulled up. About 50 people who worked on a state senator's campaign -- all decked out in UGLY holiday sweaters, barhopping on a party bus -- came in filing in while I was on stage and dancing and singing along. :) It made me feel like a total rock star.

Today has mostly been just chilling.
We can sit for a while and talk about
The things that bring you down
Like heaven and martini's
And boys that hang around
If if told you my biggest secret
Would you promise me you'd stay?
It isn't what you're thinking
It's simple in a way

5 years of Mac and Cheese? Oh no! Can you afford ketchup? :P

The only time I use cruise control is when I leave the city. So maybe 3 days a year. Power mirrors are expensive to fix. I paid $300 to fix one of mine. I don't have power windows either. Or CD. I still use cassettes.

Looks like you have lots of leg room. My brother has a Cavalier, and my knees touch the dashboard. I'd never buy one of those.

My grandpa passed away today, so I'm off to St. Louis for the weekend to attend the funeral and take care of my sisters and mom.

So sorry to hear that. My Baba & Gido (Grandma & Grandpa) always believed that at Christmas time, the gates of Heaven are open to all. Kinda like a free pass. I hope they're right. Can't wait to see them again.

Take care of you and your family.
