Awesome Solstice, everybody!

I ran out to my parents today and drove past this which just begged to be publicized. The snarky comments are my addition:

Merry Christmas everyone! (Sorry I have not posted in a while!) I was just laid off a couple weeks ago so I have plenty of time to post. ALSO, because of the economic downturn, Dustin and I are not going anywhere for Christmas, so if anyone wants to come to NEWARK, CA and do nothing with us on Christmas, you are more than welcome!!! :)

Aw, geez. I'm sorry to hear that. Just hang in there and do the best you can over the holidays. They're trimming the fat at my company too, so I might be next. Just keeping my head down.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

(Chip, sorry to hear that. Usually the valley bounces back pretty quickly from economic downturns, for well-qualified people like you. The trick is to never stop job-hunting. Good luck!)

Merry Xmas everyone. Just found out 15 minutes ago my grandmother died, but it was hardly unexpected. Just a strange day to go.

The unfortunate thing is, that because hunting for the bargain is "The American Way", and because labor is the biggest cost for companies, they are going to the "Walmarts of World Labor" in China and India where they can get great workers dirt cheap.

Sorry to hear about your loss Jeff! There is no real good time to lose a loved one, but it is especially bad around the holidays. I wish the best for you and your family!!
