I miss him too! We met in Miami last spring.

Maybe we can start making this thread an MIA-of-sorts posting area?

I'm alright I suppose Noodle, thanks for asking.

Jeff, don't know what happened to Frosty. I thought things were going well, then after I moved to Tucson last year, he just stopped calling. I had decided since I was the one always driving to Phx and it seemed like I always had to initiate the calls, that I was going to take a break and leave the ball in his court. Well, evidently we can see how far that went. Last I heard he was moving out of his father's house and in with a straight girlfriend of his. Don't know if that ever happened or what, but I haven't heard from him in over a year.

I left JPaul an offline message on YIM for him a few days ago and he responded by saying that he is not on the computer much and that he's been busy moving into his own apartment.

Cool... 8)

LOL

I was going to be PB, but I wasnt able to for some reason. Never got the email that activates your account on two seperate logins. My buddy Schlo, registered me with this one using his email, and ta-da! (as cloudy would say) it worked.

Just remember....Noodle refers to food, and not my anatomy. LOL

Russ is very busy at the moment and is trying to keep his focus on other things at the moment. He's doing well and pops in when time permits. He just doesn't get the chance to post much right now.

Well, you guys missed it. Frosty was on chat last night (Wednesday). He responded to an offline message I left for him and he got to meet Solat, RedMenace, and TJ1450.

Frosty is doing okay. He still works at the video store and is thinking of going to grad school in Eugene, Oregon (a lot closer to me...yeah!!). He was also helping a friend through some times.

His computer has been down for the past 6 months but he is now up and running. He said might re-register for the board...but he did get to see the new look.

He asked who was still here and I mentioned some names to him.

He really enjoyed listening to Solat's kiwi accent. :D

I hope he decides to register and begin posting again.

Yup... it's the real Frosty. Thanks for the thoughts fellas. I spent the past 7 months or so with no internet access other than a few random moments at a buddy's place. I can't promise that I'll stay around too long (hehehe, that part of me hasn't changed), but I have missed being around. Even after I stopped posting I lurked on a fairly regular basis. I think one of the old members (and his god damn pastel wardrobe) left a sour taste in my mouth for a while.

And no, DNuts did NOT turn me straight. Far from it in truth. Take of that what you will.

He was right about my plans on moving in with a straight female friend, but that fell apart when she received a dorm waiver. Instead I moved in with a guy (straight) I knew through work. Not sure why I did it anymore, but those were some of the oddest months of my life. First of the year though, I managed to move, back into my dad's place (dad lives in Japan, house is mine and my bro's). I bolted when my roomie got his gf preggers and they expected me to help take care of it!

So now I have internet access again. Sadly I'm still at the same job. I was turned down for three different teaching positions. I think the second district would have hired me if I'd remembered to take out the piercings. I've given up on getting my own classroom, and am just waiting for the state to pass my substitute clearance.

As Carlos mentioned, I am debating moving to Oregon to attend UO. They have a great Master's program that I'm interested in. Even flew up and poked around the school and town a few weeks back.

Hopefully I'll stick around this time. I missed ya'll...

Whatever happened to Dr. Mike... mikenyc

I miss him

I thought for sure when cloudy mentioned mathworld.com he would show up. I always liked reading what he had to say. He was a harvard man, but yet, I could understand what he wrote most of the time.
