Happy Lunar New Year

Postby Guinness Fan » Sat Jan 30, 2016 4:20 pm

Next week is the start of the traditional Lunar (Chinese) New Year celebrations...The year of the monkey...

Asian food (of any variety) is completely lacking here. I was at a restaurant last week that advertised "spring rolls"... In anticipation of Chinese New Year, I ordered some. MISTAKE. The damn things were about the size of a football & were served with chopsticks.

I came to the conclusion that they saw a close-up shot of a spring roll in a magazine & tried to copy it.

Just geezing....
