Turn It In

Postby butch » Fri Mar 05, 2010 10:41 pm

I noticed, today, (March 12, 2010) that this site was being crawled by the http://turnitin.com bot. For those who don't know what it is, it's a spider that crawls websites looking for plagiarism. So, if you are writing a term paper, or a book, turnitin can tell people if you, ahem, "borrowed" your material from a web site.

When I was in school teachers used to warn us about this site. They told us if we did plagiarize we would get caught due to this site. I think its a good thing to have; once people have foreknowledge about this site it will impede them from plagiarism.
