I have to give a presentation tomorrow for school. I hate doing that. Oh well. I just hope that I actually trimmed it down to 10-15 minutes. I have run through it several times over the last two days and average about 11 min 30 sec for it, so hopefully I can go through it at a metered pace. Is there a way to put powerpoint on a timer so that it will pace me? hahahaha.

Oh, and Drexel called me tonight...evidently one of our ceiling fans decided to be a drama queen and go out with flair. It arced, sparked, stunk up the place, and tripped the breaker. So tomorrow I am going to need to check that out when it is daylight and find out if it was just wires shorting out or if the fan just completely crapped out.

More grading of tests today...I am sick and tired of getting the wordy problems. The exam will consist of four pages of working problems and one page of "explain" problems. I have gotten that page the last two times. Some of the stuff in those is....well, to say the least disturbing, but I try to remind myself that these are not physics students; they are non-science majors. It still just scares me that there are people walking around with absolutely no idea (and apparently no interest) in how the world they live in works.

Went to the dentist today. What a drag. $400 for a cleaning? You mean I have to pay for that torture? And then they wonder why I only drop in once every 3 years....

Being an adult sucks. :(

$400 for a cleaning? I hope it came with a happy ending. Four Hundred...Dollars!? To clean just your teeth?

Everytime I go to the dentist I think of Steve Martin in "Little House Of Horrors."

Well, it was $225 for the cleaning and $150 for 4 X-rays. Had one cavity....first one in twenty years. Big molar at the back. It only cost $140 to fix that.

I guess it was worth it.....I had lots of tartar under the gum line. If you don't get rid of that, your gums start to rot.

So, yes, I'm happy. :D

I really should go to the dentist. I mean to.

Then I think of the scraping. And the money. And don't.

Been pretty "meh" lately. Had a great dinner last night at Gaetano's, Denver's Mob Hangout, where part of the proceeds go to Project Angel Heart.

Saw a friend of mine in makeup for the first time ever at Flatiron Crossing the night before. She's not a makeup person. It was weird, but she looked good.

Yeah. Paying for torture. One consolation: my dentist is cute. :P

The tooth he filled never really bothered me. But now it's sensitive.

I need to drink more.......

I just came in from meeting the lady from Bali who's living in my house - she's been here for three weeks now, so I figured it was time we met.

Met her at a Chili's here in Lafayette, and I had one drink (albeit a double JD on the Rocks) - I was "feeling it" when I walked out of there. Should have eaten something along with that drink, but still.......

This is ALL Paul and Steve's fault - b!tches - can't remember the last time I went "out"

The good news is...I'm smitten.

The bad news is...he's taken.

The worse news is...I lost his phone number.

Outside of that, tired as hell today. Too many late nights recently.

The Air Show is this weekend and although the weather will, probably, suck, I gotta get outta here. B-more, here I come.

Love the Blue Angels (this guy did this thing today where it seemed like he stop, went vertical, cut the engines and floated, then took off into a right turn. A true WTF moment.). But the noise and traffic.....I gotta go.

We got a memo from our office technology manager about them upgrading our office PC's to the 2007 version of Microsoft Office. And the company made an agreement with Microsoft to allow us to buy a version of Office 2007 for our home computers at a cost of only $19.95.

I ordered my copy today.

BTW, Fry's Electonics is having a special on RAM. I bought two 1 gig ram sticks for my home PC for only $24.99 each. Nice!

LOL funny, I never could find the original version but the video responses are absolutely hilarious.

Yesterday I broke the #1 Law in food shopping; Never Shop on an Emply Stomach!!!. I actually spend 107 bones on nothing. Well, I did by a case of Gold Fish and a case of Milano cookies (WTH). For some reason I decided to go shopping and then come home to a bowl Fruity Pebbles. What was I thinking.

Miro Moreira is the model for A/X new underware ad. If you haven't seen it, it looks like he's in his underware standing in front of a mirror. As cool as the ad is, I just want to see more of the tatoo his underware is covering.

This is hardly inane info, but everyone reads this thread, so...

I might be gone for a while. My Dad passed away last night at the age of 64. Steve and I have to head up to Minneapolis for the wake and funeral.
