Well, that's a bummer. As much as I'm a burger man, I do think that Chick-Fil-A chicken sandwiches are good.

Bye bye Chick-Fil-A.

Here's the initial post that kicked off this whole thing: Jeremy Hooper G-A-Y.

It's not the easiest blog to navigate, but he did a good job ferreting this out.

Good for you! It saddens me that in this day and age there is still so much bigotry. I guess here's one more company that won't be getting my $$. Does it make a difference to them...probably not....does it make a difference to me...most definitely.

I was thinking about all this today and it occurred to me that it could be much, much worse. I could have been born here:

BTW....Chick-fil-A and a host of other fast food joints should be avoided for a host of other reasons....gay-friendly or not.

Rico, if you don't stand up for your rights, your "could have been worse" just may come true.

I understand. The only problem is judging "how far is the distance and how long is the time from one extreme to the other?" Although most tend to think that things change slowly, when you look around the world today (e.g. Egypt)....things really can change quite quickly.

Thanks for posting that. Now I have both context and a headache. Corporations large and small give money to all kinds of faith-based organizations, but so does the U.S. government under the the White House Office of Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships, originally started by Bush and continued under Obama.

Although the faith-based groups must provide some social service to receive the funds, I'm certain that you could find groups among them that publicly oppose LGTB issues at the same time.

I wrote a very nice letter to Chick-Fil-A telling how much I really enjoy their restaurants but due to their stance on gay marriage, I would never be setting foot in their establishments ever again. I also explained how I passed their message of biggotry onto every internet message board of which I am a member. I hope everyone does the same. It's not enough to just stop patronoizing them, you have to let them know why.

I guess there's alot of these redneck types who run restaurants in the southern U.S. Didn't Cracker Barrel and a few others do the same thing?

Luckily in Canada we don't have this problem. Our problem is nobody wants to live here. I wrote to Jack in the Box one time asking them to start a franchise here, and they didn't even acknowledge it. :(
