Australian Floods...

Postby Guinness Fan » Mon Jan 03, 2011 10:08 pm

With all the news of the floods in Queensland, wondering how our board members Down Under are doing? I've been to QLD many times and can't imagine the devastation that I'm seeing on the TV...

You're in my thoughts & prayers...

Wow we had a big flood here. 250 mm of rain fell in one day in the mountains, then it all came downstream and flooded Calgary.

100,000 people had to evacuate. About half have been able to return to ruined homes, flooded streets, drowned cars, etc.

Our hockey rink is half under water! A complete write off!

It's like a big mess, man. :(

My basement got flooded. All my carpets and laminate flooring in the basement got ruined. but it could've been a lot worse. At least we didn't have to call in the army for this one, eh?

Oh sorry to hear that. They only needed the army in High River. I hope they don't rebuild there after that mess. Unless they dam up that damn river!
