Saint Patrick's Day

Postby Guinness Fan » Mon Mar 16, 2009 4:49 pm

It's that time of year again - Saint Patrick's Day...What are your plans?

Me; Taking it easy & avoiding the pubs; Saint Patrick's Day has turned into Amateur Night with people who drink only two nights a year - the other being New Year's Eve.

I'm working. They changed the parade route this year, and it now goes through my neighborhood. Getting home from work tomorrow night is going to be a bit challenging tomorrow.

That explains all those I bumped into wearing green today.

I'm sure the Irish-themed pubs will be full down this way tonight.

Don't really celebrate St Pat's Day. I'm kind of Irish, but my lot were pretty much inside the pale.

Unfortunatly, it's just another day for me this year. Usually I have time to cook up some corned beef and cabbage and go out for some green beer. This year all I'm doing is wearin of the green.

I did have some Kilkenny today. So thick you could stand a spoon in it.

I wore a green uniform cap from the 1970s to work. Didn't do a damn thing else.

St. Pat's is my birthday. The Boss and I went out to dinner.
When I was driving once, I saw this painted on a bridge: "I don't want the world. I just want your half."

I got my oil changed.

My dad broke his hip a year ago today. That was not a good day. :(
